Another standing cross. There are hundreds all across Ireland. They date to the 6th century. The people were very welcoming and friendly as we trekked across their land to see the crosses.
I would think the people would keep the livestock away from the crosses...some barely look like they are standing, not to mention being a "back rub" for a cow! Your barbed wire picture says a lot...
